The Trustees meet regularly to review and approve applications and whilst there are no hard and fast rules, here is some guidance for potential applicants to consider:
1. We aim to support local organisations, from within Wadhurst or the surrounding villages.
2. We generally favour organisations which support young people.
3. There is no minimum or maximum grant, although £2k would be at the upper end of our range.
4. We don’t financially sponsor individuals in their own fundraising endeavours (but we do support in other ways).
If you would like to apply for a Helping Hand Grant, your application should be no longer than a single A4 submission, emailed to; application@wadhurstwarriors.co.uk
All applications are voted on by Trustees at our annual AGM in Spring and recipients notified of the outcome shortly afterwards.
We are proud that our helping hand grant has always given us an opportunity to give some surplus money to local community projects. Unfortunately as you are obviously aware we haven’t been able to raise any funds since the summer fair in June 2019, and sadly as you know the Fireworks in 2019 were cancelled due to weather and all other events for 2020 are now cancelled due to the covid pandemic.
